Da Hu Strawberry Hall

Strawberry season in Dahu is from end of November to beginning of April with 4 harvesting periods. Strawberries on New Year and the 2nd and 3rd phases around Chinese New Year are good in quality and quantity. It is the golden period to pluck strawberries.

To show the features of strawberry kingdom, Strawberry Culture Park was built. It contains Strawberry Hall and Wineland Resort. Plucking Footway is expected to be built behind to connect Da Hu Luo Fuxin Memorial Hall in combination of nearby sightseeing garden to become a complete rural leisure cultural park.

The Hall features strawberry hall, multipurpose activity center, cafe, and farm produce selling area. Behind the hall is Wineland Resort opened at the end of 2002, selling fruit wines, farm produce, processed ice products, coffee, and souvenirs.

The main product is strawberry brewed Humeilian and plum brewed Taoranhong wine.

Carrefour Taichung

Carrefour was founded in 1959 in France. In 1963, the first hypermarket was opened in France. In 1999, it merged Promodes and became the first in Europe and second largest retail group in the world.

The eye- catching red/blue/white logo of Carrefour seems simple but meaningful. The logo contains the business vision and the commitment to consumers since establishment of Carrefour.

It first appeared in 1966. The idea is from C of Carrefour with a blue arrow on the right and red arrow on the left, meaning customers heading for Carrefour form all directions. Carrefour is the French name of the company.

In Taiwan, it is translated into Jialefu, meaning each family is happy and in bliss, corresponding to the business philosophy of Carrefour.

Far Eastern Ai Mei

It was founded in 1990 with reinvestment by Far Eastern Department Store. After opening of Dazhi Shopping Center in December 2005, Ai Mei has a total of 14 stores in Taiwan with 3000 employees.

RT Mart

There are two RT-Marts in Taichung City. One is in Dali City, Taichung County and was established earlier. The other one is branch in Beitun.

RT-Mart is a hypermarket like Makro. Different from Makro, RT- Mart provides more detailed classification and smaller packaging so that shoppers can have different choices. Such hypermarkets are popular among people thanks to complete categories at low prices.

First Square

It is a large general entertainment square in 13 floors on Luchuang W. Street, close to Taichung Station. The first floor features mainly apparel.

Other floors provide fine foods, cinema, skating rink, bazaar in variety. It is one of places where young people frequent on holidays. Thanks to beautification on Luchuang W. Street, the square has more atmosphere of art.

Shin Kong Mitsukoshi Department Store

Shin Kong Mitsukoshi Department Store Taichung is on Zhonggang Road. It is the largest department store in Taichung City on fashionable apparel, dining and UCI Paramount Cinema.

Tiger City

A lot of visitors want to have a look at Jingming 1st Street when they come to Taichung. This shows the demand of people on quality shopping space.

At the planning of Tiger City, Yemei International requested AC Nielsen to conduct random survey of people aged from 15 to 54 living in major business circles in Taichung City (County) to understand current shopping styles and future life trends.

The results were reference for planning Tiger City Shopping Center, a space in internationalization for humanity, art, life and leisure.
