Taichung Da Hu Wineland Resort Under impacts of WTO, farming-related industries are working under the two major directions—enhancing brand content and fine agriculture. President Huang Rongjiang of the association hopes that the farm produce in Dahu to be free from impacts and become global.

He started the idea of Da Hu Wineland Resort to create more marketing channels for strawberries in Dahu. He obtained counseling from Council of Agriculture, The 921 Earthquake Post-disaster Recovery Commission and Miaoli County Government and successfully built Da Hu Wineland Resort in 2002.

After approval of wine resort assessment by Council of Agriculture in August 2001, construction was started in December 2001. Manufacture permit was obtained from Ministry of Finance in July 2002. Formal operation was available from 21 December 2002.

The establishment of the resort is promoted by Dahu Farmers’ Association in response to one leisure industry in one town of the government to create profits of farm produce by sightseeing in Dahu with the association’s resources.
